- In this latest body of work, KH continues to seamlessly mesh history, politics, consumer culture, and social icons to address the growing complexities of society and what it means to be an American. The juxtaposition of seemingly mundane images work to weave a complex web of associations and contradictions that have shaped our collective understandings. Their work utilizies recognizable symbols and endows them with both a history and a present that brings new weight and relevance that is immediately recognizable to the modern conscience. The celebrations and shortcomings of American culture are blended flawlessly into KH’s glossy canvases making them both arrestingly beautiful and eternally contemplative.
